Each tent has its private saltwater pool, perfect for a refreshing dip whenever you want. The spacious living areas have oversized four-poster beds and indoor/outdoor bathrooms where you can shower under the open sky.

Depending on what you’re after, they have all sorts of options—from cozy Beach Camp Tents to the more luxurious Cliff Tent Pool Villas (which I might have spent a little too much time lounging in). 

The resort’s Pasir Putih Beach Club & Bar serves seriously delicious daily meals. You can get everything from tasty Indonesian dishes to familiar Western favorites. It was so nice to grab a bite while listening to the gentle waves.

It’s cozy and serves delicious Balinese and Western dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I loved my mornings there—sipping red rice tea and soaking in the peaceful sounds of nature.

One of the highlights of my stay was participating in a sunrise yoga class. I also enjoyed canoeing and hiking, swimming in waterfalls, and exploring the lush greenery. Every adventure was paired with a side of relaxation.

Pro tip:

A must-try activity unique to Moondock is their cooking class. In it, you can learn to prepare traditional Balinese dishes using fresh local ingredients. It’s an immersive experience that deliciously connects you to the culture and community of Bali!

6. Cloud Hills Glamping

Let’s talk about the weather. The mountain climate is refreshing, hovering between 17ºC and 30ºC. It’s a delightful change from the tropical heat of lower Bali. The cool air just adds to the charm of the whole experience. 

Each cabin is super cozy—think king-size bed, private bathroom, WiFi, and smart windows. One of my favorite nights was spent gathered around the fire pit with fellow travelers, sharing stories under a canopy of stars, our mugs filled with warm drinks.

If you’re craving a cozy escape, Tentacle Bali could be it. Imagine glamping in these super comfy tents, complete with private bathrooms. What I loved most is how close it is to the beach—ou can practically roll out of your tent and be at Sun Sun Beach.

Each tent has air conditioning—thank goodness for that in the tropical heat! I’d wake up, grab a cup of coffee, and just sit on my private terrace, taking in those tranquil views of nature. It was the perfect way to start my mornings.

The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed. You can’t go wrong if you want to relax poolside or dive into delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, which focuses on fresh, local ingredients.

Bubble Hotel Nyang Nyang is known for its transparent bubble tent, where you can gaze at the stars. This whole glamping concept was created by Felix Demin, who you might know from that incredible Boeing 737 luxury hotel conversion. 

Each bubble is pretty special. You get your little piece of the outdoors with manicured gardens and an ensuite bathroom. If you’re hoping for a romantic escape, this adults-only retreat is just the ticket for couples. 

Each bubble has air conditioning (thank goodness for that in the Bali heat!), a cozy queen-sized bed, and privacy curtains when you need a little alone time. One of my highlights was having a floating breakfast in the infinity pool. 

Pro tip:

For a unique experience, I highly recommend trying the sunset BBQ on the beach—it’s an unforgettable way to end your day in paradise!

10. Sandat Glamping Tents

Sandat Glamping Tents is a boutique glamping site that that that opened in 2013. It is Bali’s first glamorous campsite, with only eight accommodations. How cool is that? 

Five are these fantastic safari-style tents, and the other three are traditional Lumbung bungalows. This seriously keeps the vibe intimate and peaceful. You get the sense that privacy matters here, which I loved.

The design is a gorgeous mix of Italian elegance and Balinese charm. Each tent has a private plunge pool and an outdoor terrace with stunning forest views. Inside, the tents are so cozy with these dreamy four-poster beds. 

Pro tip:

If you want to explore Ubud, there is even a complimentary shuttle service, which is super convenient.
