We Turned Chaos Into Cannonballs at These 7 Water Parks in Bali

When I was a kid, I was the ultimate girly girl—I played with well-dressed dolls, did arts and crafts, and wore sleepover blanket gowns with my friends. Even now, all my work buddies are women, so you can guess that I have a hard time connecting with guys.

That didn’t really bother me until my sister—mom to 5 wild boys—asked me to babysit for 2 whole days! I warned her it’d be chaos, but she begged me and offered to pay for everything, so I eventually caved.

The pressure was real, though. Yet instead of doing the bare minimum, I planned to win my nephews over by taking them to a water park in Bali! Thankfully, they had such a blast that it’s now our yearly tradition. Here are the most exciting ones we’ve tried so far.

What are Bali’s top-rated water parks?

There are a bunch of top-rated Bali water parks you should dive into! Make a splash at popular aqua playgrounds, like Splash Water Park, Waterbom Water Park, Bali Wake Park, and Krishna Waterpark.

Splash Water Park is one of the most famous water parks in Bali. It showcases many exciting slides, rides, and activities for the entire family.

More specifically, the 6 attractions include a lazy river, water canons, climbing forts, and giant pails. Our favorites are the banana rides and splash area—we think even picky teenagers wouldn’t be able to resist!

We also love the comfy lounges and stylish bars where adults can unwind. This area also overlooks the kids’ zone so you can check on the kiddos now and then. Or, you can sit by the pool and sunbathe in peace while the kids enjoy the splash zone.

Good to know:

We suggest bringing your own towels to Splash Water Park so you won’t have to spend more to rent one!

Note that outside snacks aren’t allowed inside too. Still, you can find a wide selection of food and drink options at the restaurant and bar areas on-site.

Looking for thrilling slides that are as large as gigantic snakes? Then Waterbom Water Park might be the aqua park for you! It’s known for having Asia’s steepest slide and won awards for being among the best water parks in the world!

There are 14 water rides, 3 pools with lounge chairs, 2 kiddie areas with slides, and the newest Aqua Play. The top attractions for us are Flow Rider and Euro Bungy. But don’t worry—all rides are ranked from mellow to extreme, so you can choose where to go.

And when it’s time to grab some grub, we bet you’ll find more than enough options with food courts, chic restaurants, and sleek lounges within this amusement facility.

Family-friendly tip:

Planning a family hangout at Waterbom Water Park? We recommend renting a VIP gazebo with a private lounge area! This can include a safe, charging slots, a mini fridge, and a shower near the slides so everyone can have a blast.

Want to try a bunch of water sports? Bali Wake Park offers an action-packed wakeboarding course on a 5-hectare lake! You can also try knee boarding, water skiing, or surfing. For us, this is the perfect place to try something new!

But don’t be scared if you don’t know how to start. All activities here are beginner-friendly, so we believe you’ll get by just fine. Alternatively, this water park has an infinity pool with a bar so you can swim to your heart’s content.

In addition, this park houses Aqualand, where you can jump around in big inflatables and slide from up to 8 meters high! The way we see it, this is your chance to challenge your siblings or friends for a friendly race and snag some bragging rights.

Money-saving idea:

Wakeboarding at Dreamland Waterpark can be steeply priced for travelers. If you’re a local (or have friends who are one), we recommend asking for alternative local prices to save more!

Krishna Waterpark is a delightful water park with 16 water rides for all ages and aptitudes. While it’s not as expansive as other options here, we believe this aqua hub has its own charm on both wet and dry land.

For one, the kids can enjoy miniature train rides and bumper cars, while the older ones can go for the Airborne Shoot and Flying Cakra rides. For us, the pools and loungers are also perfect for parents who want to relax on their own.

Insider scoop:

Consider getting a water park debit card at Krishna Waterpark to pay for food and attractions! In our opinion, this is a cool way to keep your bills from being wet or stolen while doing your thing at the park.

Note that the park announcements are made in the local language too! You can ask the friendly staff to translate it for you, so you don’t miss out on any important notices.

Have a tight budget? Keramas Water Park is an affordable water park in Bali that can still give you the thrill you need! It’s got 2 big slides—1 for big kids and 1 for toddlers, so we reckon this is great for young families.

We bet the kids would love riding the Flying Fox and playing soft gun war games at the park. And when it’s time to refuel your stomachs, there’s a canteen here where you can try classic Indonesian cuisine.

It’s worth noting that it also offers a big parking lot, so you probably don’t have to worry too much about arriving a tad late.

Daring moves:

After a refreshing swim at Keramas Water Park, we suggest trying other outdoor adventures like wall climbing and tightrope walking! Later, you can also wind down and relax by doing yoga on-site.

CitraLand Waterpark

  • Locker Rental – Rp 35,000
  • Returned Keys Refund: Rp 20,000
  • Gazebo Rental: Rp 40,000

CitraLand Waterpark is full of water canons and twisty slides that we believe you shouldn’t miss out on. We also think its towering Sea Legs slide can really wake you up if you’re still half asleep from a long trip.

As a fun family park, it’s got a pirate ship, a big shallow pool, and a few slides for the youngsters. The bigger slides also have an age limit of 10 and older since they’re much taller and faster than the others.

Another thing we find incredible is that there’s a reflexology pool here! This is where you can let the water pressure soothe your muscles, like having a rejuvenating massage.

Friendly advice:

We recommend eating a big meal before coming to CitraLand Waterpark! Food options here are limited and the staff are strict about bringing outside food.

Consider renting a gazebo too if you want a place to chill, eat, get changed, and store all your stuff. You’ll have to pay extra if you need the lockers, anyway.

Love to see some wildlife after enjoying a water park in Bali? The Bali Zoo offers Minneapolis jungle waterplay with a giant bucket splash, slides, pools, and fountains.

On top of that, we like that there are numerous animal encounters, animal shows, a petting zoo, and more activities for wholesome family-friendly fun.

So once you’re done swimming, you can get a buffet breakfast the next day and take photos with orangutans, play with elephants in the mud, or see a zebra, lion, or two tigers in their natural habitat!

Smart pointers:

Make the registration process at Bali Zoo faster by pre-buying tickets online. The prices are cheaper when you book through the website too!

Also, the grass at the park is often wet and cannot be sat on, so we recommend bringing portable chairs and lots of extra dry clothes.
